Ancient Future Ministries

Once again, Jerusalem is warned of impending discipline. When we look at how often God's chosen people failed to obey His commands, it reminds us of our own failure to listen, hear, and obey God's commands.

We continue to discuss Israel's rejection of God. We are reminded that God's desire is to build a temple for Himself by using Christ as the cornerstone. Cornerstones were used to ensure the structure was level and the building was plumb.

The interesting thing is that this cornerstone (Christ) causes the Jews to stumble and the Gentiles to take offense. Yet, without our cornerstone, the building would not pass inspection and would be considered a failure. 

We are back discussing Israel (the ten tribes that split off from the Davidic king and have turned to idols). The Assyrian army will capture the nation, and they will all but disappear from the face of the earth. Instead of listening to God and turning in repentance back to Him, they continue on their sinful path to destruction.

A song is raised over God's restoration of the nation of Israel. Ab]=nd we see the extent of the kingdom reestablished to the borders that defined Israel in Solomon's day.

The Day of the Lord is coming. His remnant will be sheltered during His wrath. and His saints who have died will be resurrected.

In this study, we learn that to have peace, we must keep our hearts and minds centered on our Lord.

A look at what the Kingdom Age will look like and those who dwell in the Kingdom experience.

We see the results of the period of Tribulation that the world endures. But again God spares a remnant (His people).

Faithless servant is replaced with a trusted one. An oracle of the Fall of Tyre is announced.

God has a way of using enemies to punish His people when they rebel. Then he punishes the enemies because they messed with His people. Notice how God commands the Medes to conquer Babylon. 

He then announces woes on Edom and Arabia. Followed by a woe pronounced on Jerusalem for its rebellion. 

It is interesting how God created things to accomplish the goals embedded in His plan.
