The Apostle Paul travels to Corinth and established another church in this principal city in Acadia.
Apparently, the situation becomes dangerous and the Lord assures Paul that he has nothing to fear. We look at a number of other people in Scripture that God also tells them not to be afraid. When God is for us we have nothing to fear.

The author, Luke, complemented the believers in Berea for their willingness to verify what they heard Paul preach. They also daily studied Scripture. How often do people do that today?
Is it right to use secular thinking to present the Gospel message?
Is it Okay to use secular philosophies to prove your point?
When Paul presented his message to the people at the Areopagas (Mar's Hill) in Athens. While speaking he used secular poets and philosophers to make his case.
How flexible should we be in our presentation of the Gospel?
These are some of the things we explore in this podcast.

In this podcast we look at the launch of Paul's European mission. Specifically, we look at how and where he went about reaching potential people of faith. One of the early signs of faith are acts of faith - like Lydia's hospitality to the missionaries.
As often happens successful ministries are challenged by Satan. Although Satan is the father of lies, he often uses truth to muddy the waters. We discuss the issue of demonic possession and demonic oppression.
We also look at the question of when do we claim our rights and when might it be better to wait to claim our rights and privileges.
These are some of the issues addressed in this podcast.

When should you be willing to give up your rights, position or point of view for the sake of peace with another person?
How can God use your strengths and weaknesses of your personality to get His work done?
If Gentiles didn't need to be circumcised, why did Timothy need to be circumcised? And how did his mixed background help him minister to both Jews and Gentile?
How did Paul know when the Holy Spirit closed areas of ministry? How did he respond to no?
How does God choose to speak to us today? We call this PEWS (People, Environment [circumstances], the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit).
These are the areas we discuss in this podcast.

The Jerusalem Council's decision was written in a letter and they sent two witnesses from Jerusalem to verify the letter. Both of them, Judas and Silas were NT prophets who stayed in Antioch for a while where they taught. Silas later returned to Antioch where he joined Paul on his second missionary trip.
Why did Silas join Paul instead of Barnabas? Because Paul and Barnabas disagreed over personnel for the trip they decided to go there separate ways.
Who was right?
Is unity more important than being right?
Can God use disagreements to further (or multiple) His ministry?
In this podcast, we discuss how to handle disagreements and what God's purpose is in all of these situations.

The church faced one of the most difficult times from internal dissension. I'm sure the people who showed up in Antioch were well-meaning and considered themselves to be mature believers. But they caused confusion and concern for the Gentile believers.
What were the requirements for salvation? Did one have to convert to Judaism? After all, Jesus was a Jew and the first followers were all Jews. What about the yoke of the Law? wasn't it a good thing? Why did Peter say it was bad and that no one was capable of living up to the requirements?
This chapter of Acts will take us a while to process. You will want to listen to all of the broadcasts for Acts chapter 15 to understand the significance of this passage.

Paul & Barnabas missionary journey continues throughout the middle of what is now central Turkey. They see many come to faith in Christ both Jew and Gentile. But they also encounter opposition from Jews, Gentile ladies and as a result some local leaders. Our two missionaries are mistaken for gods for healing a person. They refute the honor and the result is that Paul is stoned but survives.
Isn't it interesting that they refuse to steal what is only owed to God - glory, and worship for the miracle? Why are we so quick to ask for God's help and then claim the glory for ourselves when He moves on our behalf?
How would choose to teach something that is a lie only to suffer persecution and then continue teaching the same message if it wasn't true?
These are just some of the issues we discuss in this podcast.
