Why do I need faith? Thomas Manton wrote,  “Faith presents invisible supplies when faced with visible dangers.” Faith is not something that we have but rather it is something that we live by! This podcast explores this idea of living by faith.

This week's podcast addresses the 4th of 5 warnings found in the book of Hebrews. In this study, we address the warning to not take lightly the sacrifice that Christ made for the cleansing our sins. We also address the misconception of lack of consequences for our sinful actions once we are forgiven. Perhaps the subtitle of this study is the "Consequences of Forgiven Sin"

This is our third podcast discussing Hebrews chapter ten. We continue to look at the sacrifice Jesus offered as compared to all of the sacrifices ever offered under the old covenant and find that Jesus' is superior. His work is finished since he is the only High Priest ever to sit down in God the Father's presence.

Additionally, we look at reasons believers are commanded to come together in fellowship and communion.

Christ death was the atonement for our sins, thus allowing us access back into the presence of God the Father. What does the term atonement mean? And how have various streams of Christianity understood this theological concept? This is what we cover in this first of several podcasts regarding Hebrews chapter ten.

In Hebrews chapter nine the author compares the earthly tabernacle (and later temples) of the Jewish faith against the Heavenly Tabernacle. We learn that the earthly tabernacle was patterned (copied) after true Tabernacle in Heaven.

 

We discover some of the reasons why the true Tabernacle is superior to any earthly copies. It will never wear out, it is undefiled, and it is the true throne room of God. While the old tabernacle had a place where God’s physical presence dwelt here on earth, today God’s presence resides in the hearts of every true follower of God.
