We continue to see the woes pronounced on the surrounding nations (Egypt and Cush). And we are told that in the future, Egypt and Assyria will be restored and subject to Christ's Kingdom. 

The Woe on Moab continues, and the Woe on Cush (Ethiopia).

The oracles continue with Moab and Damascus being condemned. In the middle of this passage, we are reminded that David's coming heir will re-establish the Davidic Throne, and true justice will be established.

The prophecy of the destruction of Babylon

This passage is speaking in multi-layers. The surface layer refers to the physical King of Babylon. A deeper layer reveals to us the backstory of Satan - Lucifer -Morning Star.

Who writes history? Obviously, the winners do. But an interesting twist exists because God wrote the history of the universe before it happened. Years before nations rise, God has also prophesied their downfall because of their sin. 

Jehovah Nissi will spread His banner over the nations. A song of praise will be lifted up in worship of our Lord and King.

The Prophcied King - the Messiah is discussed. His attitude and actions, along with when true shalom will be experienced throughout His reign.
